My children will be starting school in a few weeks. They are both heading to new schools my son off to middle school and my daughter off to high school. They will not be attending their home district schools but will be attending public charters. I am very fortunate that my children had excellent options. I have upgraded to Word Press 2.6 and am now playing with themes. This one, Thesis, is similar to the PressRow theme I most recently used. I have it almost as I want it. I can’t get all my pictures to rotate through and am missing some titles in the side bars but it is functional. I’ll need to keep tweeking. The plus about this theme is it is compatible with all the features in 2.6 unlike my old theme….
I am upgrading WordPress to 2.6 and when I get the kinks worked out will change my theme. Right now my categories do not show up, I see a list with no names, it even tells me how many posts are linked to the name less categories. I spent the day reading George Washington on Leadership by Richard Brookhiser. I love to read the history, letters and thoughts of our founding fathers and their British counterparts. There were many parts of my reading I found thought provoking but two I would like to share. The last few weeks of school are overwhelming for me. It is as if everyone is racing for the finish line. Between work and home I am exhausted. At home I have a son ending his fifth grade career and a daughter ending 8th grade. There are final band concerts, award ceremonies and recognition (aka graduation) ceremonies. Not to mention the last Girl Scout, youth group, running club and skating club culminating events. It is far to much to really…
