A Second Life To Do
Second Life is full of many wonderful places to visit, social events, and learning opportunities. Periodically I would like to share an event or place to add to your Second Life ‘to do’ list.
One of the things I have enjoyed this winter season is ice skating in SL. It is fun and a nice backdrop for conversations. There are two places, I would recommend, where ice rinks with free skates have been set up. The DEN in SL on Eduisland II and ISTE Island. Make sure you visit before the snow melts, they will not be there forever.

Another simulation worth exploring is the Star Trek Museum of Science. I am a science fiction fan and ‘Trekie’ at heart. I have spent a great deal of time exploring this well constructed build. It it has much to offer. If you have time this break please teleport on over and learn about the Star Trek universe.

One more thing, I’ll be presenting at the DEN in SL with Julia Colby on January 9th at 5 PM SLT (8 PM EST). The topic is Presenting in Second Life. In this learning experience we will look at the basics of how to present in SL and some of the options and tools to aid in presenting. We will also discuss how to find a venue to host a presentation and ways to advertise. Please join us an learn how to share and contribute to this growing network of educators.
